Aula Hispánica is situated in Jaca, one of the most fascinating cities in the central Pyrenees in the north of Spain.
Aula Hispánica has offered Spanish courses year round since 2003 and students from all over the world, particularly European adults, have taken our Spanish courses.
Because we are a medium-sized Spanish language school with about 120 students each year, our students receive individual attention on our Spanish courses and have more opportunities to speak Spanish during the classes. We offer Spanish courses in both small groups or on a one to one basis.
Aula Hispánica is the only Spanish school in Aragon accredited by the Cervantes Institute for classroom courses. This accreditation is the highest recognition for a Spanish school both in Spain and internationally.
Aula Hispánica is the only Spanish school in Aragon which offers the official exam DELE (Diploma de Español como Lengua Extranjera) in the three exam periods: May - August - November. These certificates are recognized worldwide by private companies, chambers of commerce and public and private educational systems. The DELE qualification proves your level of Spanish to employers and is a requirement of entry to many universities in Spain.

Flights: FROM MADRID:
Get the underground (metro) or the bus from the airport to Atocha train station. Once there, you can choose between:
Train - You have to book Madrid to Zaragoza or Madrid to Huesca. Then you get a direct bus from there to Jaca.
Bus (it's longer but funnier) - When you arrive at Atocha train station, you will have to take the metro/ underground: Line 1 (blue) direction “Congosto” and after three stops, you'll arrive at ”Pacifico” stop. Then you have to take Line 6 (grey) direction “Cuatro Caminos” and after three stops you arrive at “Sainz de Baranda” stop. There you have to change lines and take Line 9 (violet) direction Herrera Oria. After 4 stops you will arrive at Av. de America and right there you have the bus station. Get a ticket to Zaragoza.
FROM ZARAGOZA:
There is a bus from the airport to Zaragoza city. Price 1,80 €. For the timetable it's better to call directly +34976229343. If you prefer, a taxi to the city centre costs 30€. At Delicias Station (it's bus and train station) you can buy the bus ticket to Jaca. The timetable and prices are the same as before.
FROM BARCELONA:
Get the metro or underground from the airport to Barcelona Sants. It's only three or four stops till Sants Estacion (Sants station). There you have to leave the station, cross the street and on the left hand side it is the bus station. It's very easy, isn't it? :) You have to look for Alosa bus company (it's the first one of all the line). If you don't buy the ticket on Internet, first you will have to buy one ticket to Huesca and in Huesca buy another one to Jaca. Don't worry because the bus in Huesca always wait for the people who come from Barcelona.
Activities: Nature is the dominant factor. Lakes and meadows in the high mountains, forest covered slopes, deep canons, and an extensive variety of ecosystems, provide an ideal setting for rest, relaxation, and the learning of the rich and beautiful Spanish language.
The beautiful scenery of the Spanish Pyrenees offers for nature lovers an extensive range of activities - both in winter and summer. From adventure sports to interesting cultural tours, the activities available can be of interest to visitors of all ages.
In winter, sporting activities are concentrated at the ski resorts: Candanchú, Astún, Formigal and Panticosa.
In addition, Jaca boasts a first class ice-skating rink, where one can practice their ice-skating and ice hockey. In summer, adventure sports such as mountain biking, hiking, climbing, and cannoning become favoured past-times. The Aula Hispánica can organise excursions with professional guides in many adventure sports, for those students interested.
What is included?: Course book and exercises book, photocopies, magazines, newspapers, Internet room with WiFi connection, free participation in multimedia course called AVE of the Cervantes Institute, free use of the library and a Certificate of Attendance

Granada, in south-east Andalusia, is 55 kms from the Costa Tropical, 30 kms from the southernmost ski resort in Europe, venue of the World Skiing Championships in 1996, and is also handy for many other can’t-miss visits on any tour of the south of Spain, such as the Alpujarras, the Cazorla Natural Park, Seville, Cordoba, Úbeda and Baeza, Ronda...
We chose Granada as the home of Castila for many reasons, among them, its geographical situation and diversity: deserts and snow, sea and mountains, its magical light and its Moorish nights.
Granada is an unequalled historical and artistic setting, the city having been declared part of the Heritage of Humanity by UNESCO, which makes it one of the most-visited cities in the world, thanks to the Alhambra, the Albaicn and Sacromonte districts, its enchantment and magic, its aromas and its colours. The school is centrally located in the ancient neighbourhood of the Albaicín in a pedestrian street.

Valencia, the third largest city in Spain with a population of about 800,000 people, is located directly on the Mediterranean. Compared to the rainy weather in the northern parts of the country and to the heat waves of over 40º C in the south, Valencia enjoys almost a perfect climate, where the sun shines an average of 320 days a year.
A mild winter and a not-too-hot summer combine to put the annual average temperature at 18º C. With a coastline of more than 485 km, the area of Valencia has some of Europe's finest beaches Costa de Valencia, School of Spanish is situated right in the heart of the University area of Valencia, in between the historic Old Town and the beach!

Transfer: Transfer from Valencia airport: 40 Euro
From the bus & train station: 25 Euro
Flights: The most economical way to get to Valencia is by car, preferably by carpooling. If you are looking for someone who may need a ride, or want to know if someone near you will be driving, please note this on the registration form. We will try to form a list of all potential drivers/riders, and mail this before the start of the course.
Another economical way is the bus. The company Eurolines/Europabus offers connections from almost all capitals. A travel agent would be more than willing to help with additional information and reservations.
However, the quickest and most comfortable way to travel is by airplane. Valencia has an international airport, which is served daily with direct flights from many major European cities. We recommend searching for low cost fares as there are some airlines flying to Valencia.
Activities: Each Friday we put up the activities for the coming week. If a student wishes to participate in any of them, all he/she has to do is put their name on the sheet. It is free to participate in the activities; the only thing that students will need to pay for is what they consume, for example their cinema ticket or any food or drinks they buy.
The free time activity programme starts on Monday with a trip to the historic Old Town of Valencia, whereby the students, from their very first day, can learn to move around the city independently, learn how the public transport system works and make friends with the other students in their group.
Each day we organise up to 4 activities so that students can learn about the city, enjoy themselves, practice their Spanish and take part in typical Spanish customs and celebrations, in and around Valencia: visiting museums, typical meals, fiestas, sporting activities, nights out etc.
What is included?: - Teaching material throughout the whole course.
- Welcome pack including information on the school and the city of Valencia.
- Initial Level Test.
- Certificate
- Participation in the socio-cultural activities.
- Free tutorial sessions.
- Free access to the internet.
- Free use of our library and video library.

One of the most outstanding examples of architecture in the world is the Alhambra located in Granada. Apart from its historical importance Granada also offers endless cultural opportunities and entertainment.
The location of the city, at the foot of the Sierra Nevada Mountain, yet only a 30 minute drive to the beach, allows year round sporting and outdoor activities. Alicante is the pearl of the Mediterranean, enjoying a wonderful climate all year round. Its beaches win Blue Flag Awards from the EU every year and Postiguet Beach is even located in the very centre of the city.
The area, inhabited well before the Romans, plays a vital role in the modern Spanish economy. It is a popular tourist region.
With 500,000 inhabitants, Alicante is a medium-sized city with a cultural life, a young and dynamic university, and a booming economy.
You will also find here century-old traditions like the San Juan Festivities or the “Moors and Christians” celebrations, a revival of the “Reconquista” battles.
The Spanish spoken here has no special accent, unlike
Barcelona where Catalan becomes dominant. The school is situated in the city centre, across from the "Teatro Principal". Postiguet Beach is just five minutes walk, as are the Alicante "Corte Inglés", the Renfe Train Station and the Central Market.

Founded by the Phoenicians more than three thousand years ago, Cádiz is the oldest surviving city in the west. It was home to the Carthaginians, Romans and Arabs until it was finally conquered by the Christians in the thirteenth century. With its beautiful squares, narrow streets, small palaces, stately buildings and an atmosphere the city invites you to relax and enjoy yourself. Traces of its historical past can be found throughout the city.
Situated near to Seville and Málaga and serving as a bridge between Spain and Africa, Cádiz, it would seem, is an island surrounded by the Atlantic Ocean.
The people of Cádiz are proud of the 10 kms. of fine sand which lie at their very door-step. Beaches such as La Victoria and La Caleta form part of the scenery of the city and of the very lives of its people.
The city of Cádiz enjoys pleasant temperatures all-year round, with clear blue skies and an average of 3200 hours of sun annually. GADIR is situated in an independent building in the district of the Bahía Blanca, only a few minutes away from the historic city centre and the beach.

Gran Canaria is located, as Florida, on the 28th parallel, only 100 km. from the African coast. These factors are decisive to our climate. Its mild temperatures and proximity to Europe make Gran Canaria a very attractive place for our visitors.
The island is volcanic in origin and because of its contrasting countryside, it is also known as a “Miniature Continent”. For centuries many visitors to it have been captivated by its landscapes, enjoying its everlasting spring-like climate. Pliny spoke about the gardens of the Hesperides.
Gran Canaria is after Tenerife and Fuerteventura the third largest island in size of the Archipelago and because of its different landscapes and variety of climates enjoys the title of “Miniature Continent”.
In the south we can find the tourist resort of Playa del Inglés and Maspalomas, visited by over 2,000,000 tourists every year, with dunes and beaches of golden sand. In the central area there are high mountains covered by forests and even snow during winter, and deep valleys full of tropical fruits and flowers. In the north lies the capital, Las Palmas de Gran Canaria. A modern highway linking with the airport crosses the island.

There's probably no need to introduce Barcelona: a cosmopolitan city on the Mediterranean Sea that has an international airport, is constantly growing and is a meeting and melting point for cultures and businesses from all over the world. Sports events, congresses, trade shows and countless cultural happenings have continually drawn people from all over the world to this restless town for decades. The Olympic Games in 1992, the Forum of Cultures of the World in 2004 are examples why Barcelona has this image of a modern, genuine but adaptable society.
Just like in other parts of the world (e.g. Switzerland, Canada) the region of Catalonia, whose capital is Barcelona, has two official languages: Spanish (Castilian) and Catalan. People grow up being perfectly bilingual. This might be another reason why the "Barcelonins" are so open-minded and gentle to their visitors. This might also be a reason why so many foreigners come to Barcelona and study in one of the four universities - or others who decide to have their residence in this marvellous city with its balanced and moderate climate all the year round. Barcelona is famous for its beautiful architecture, for its beaches and for one of the best football teams in the world. Furthermore, its proximity to the Pyrenees makes Barcelona a prime spot for winter sports, which are only a 2-hour drive from the city centre.
Our facilities are located in the centre of Barcelona (a 5-minute walk from Plaça Catalunya). They are housed in an older building that was recently renovated. It is equipped with all the facilities desirable in a modern centre of learning.

The Costa de la Luz boasts the most magnificent beaches in the whole of Spain! Fringed by mile upon mile of golden sand….this is where you can find Cadiz!
Cadiz is located in the southernmost part of Spain and separated from Africa by the straight of Gibraltar. It is the oldest city in the West, founded in 1.100 B.C. by the Phoenicians. Every travel guide describes our city as a unique discovery… a spoilt treasure of the Andalucía landscape. Not greatly affected by tourism it offers the students a huge range of delights. The amazing architecture, the sorted sport activities, the culture, the friendly local, 10 km of fine sand beaches, 3.200 hours of sun a year and more, makes Cadiz one of the best places to immerse yourself in the Spanish language, culture and way of life. Our School is based in the beautiful Historic part of the city and only 5 min. walk from the beach, surrounded by universities, plazas, coffee shops, bars, monuments, libraries and shops.

To live in San Sebastian is an extraordinary pleasure. It is considered by many to be Spain’s most beautiful city, and we are in complete agreement. The quality of life in Basque Country is amongst the highest in Spain, and the city’s proximity to France gives it a distinctly more European feel. Here you will find a natural tranquility, away from the scores of tourists in the south, meaning you will be immersed in the Spanish language. To study Spanish in San Sebastian is a privileged opportunity, and we hope that you take full advantage of it.
The cultural offer of San Sebastián is based on Film Festivals, Music and Dance, all on an international level.
San Sebastián also offers popular festivities like "la Semana Grande", "la Tamborrada", "los Caldereros", the Day of "Santo Tomás" and a lot of concerts and sports competitions throughout the year.
Every area has a cultural house and a modern public sports center. There they organize small concerts, theatres, film-clubs and they even offer reading rooms, a library and several courses. Our premises are located within a 5 minute walk from the city centre, next to a large urban park.

The Tropical Coast Languages school was founded in 1992. The school meets all the quality standards and legal requirements for carrying out teaching activities, being accredited teaching centre by Instituto Cervantes and member of AEEA and FEDELE.
We are a small / medium-sized school with about 350 students per year, being summertime the high season. The centre has five classrooms fully-equiped with TV, video, DVD and all the necessary audio and CD equipment. All these devices plus the small group size (maximum 8 students per class, except from June to September when can be 10) create a very familiar atmosphere and personal treatment.
The wide range of intensive Spanish courses we offer starting every Monday and our teaching program guarantee satisfactory progress to students on all ages and for all the six levels of the Common European Reference Framework for Languages, from beginner to proficiency. We give prominence to the communicative approach although the individual needs, interests, and learning styles of our students are also taken into consideration. Our daily programme of activities is a very good complement for the classes.
We have a very professional and dynamic staff and a properly qualified and trained teaching team, all native.
You can attend a Spanish language course on any date, because we are open all year round.

Almuñécar is a small town located on the Mediterranean Coast of Granada, which has a unique tropical microclimate. Although it is a fishing village Almuñécar's economy is also based on the production of tropical fruits such as the chirimoya, or custard apple, kiwi, avocado and nispora. Its location and privileged climate (with average temperatures of 29ºC in the summer and 18ºC in winter) make Almuñécar a very popular tourist destination attracting primarily Spanish tourists.
The Almuñécar coastline boasts over 19 kilometres of beautiful beaches and hidden bays with calm crystal-clear waters especially well suited to the practice of water sports such as diving, windsurfing, etc.
Also, the proximity of the mountains is perfect for the practice of open air adventure sports such as trekking, paragliding etc.
Tropical Coast Languages is situated in the heart of Almuñécar's old town, near the City Hall and the Church "La Encarnación" (XV century). The school is in a pedestrian precinct and a shopping area, full of shops, restaurants and bars. We are only a minute's walk from the beach “Puerta del Mar”, which is the most popular for its closeness to the commercial and leisure centre, and the nightlife, and close to the accommodation we offer.
The pathway to our school makes unnecessary the use of any vehicle to get to it, making your way to class a pleasurable walk. We can say that everything comes to be easier and comfortable, so your stay will be more delightful thanks to the relaxing environment.

Denia is a enchanting and friendly town situated on the Mediterranean coast between the cities of Alicante and Valencia. Among the many benefits of this area we would like to highlight the 322 sunny days a year and an average temperature of 18º C or 65º F. The town has a resident population of approximately 33,000 inhabitants. Although during the summer months many more people, of all nationalities, come to enjoy this sunny area.
Denia has 20 kilometres of coast. To the north, fine sandy beaches; to the south rocky, precipitous beaches, such as Las Rotas Beach, which has a great many small coves and areas of great beauty. Every year these beaches are awarded the European Union blue flag, which is only given to clean and well equipped beaches.
This area evokes previous times and cultures which remind us that Dénia has been ruled by the Moors, Romans, Carthaginians and Iberians. As proof of the constant passing of civilizations we now enjoy the examples of architecture which have been left, the best of which is the magnificent castle overlooking the town. The school is situated in the historic part of the town, adjacent to the bus station and very close to the train station. It is a 10 – 15 min walk to the beaches and port.

Campamento Internacional Valles del Oso (Grado ) |
|

Our mission at International Summer Camp Valles del Oso, founded in July 2007, is to offer teenagers aged 11 to 15 from both Spain and abroad a unique experience combining language learning with outdoor sports and values education.
The camp site is located in the Asturian village of Villanueva, in northern Spain. Villanueva is at the heart of the renowned Valles del Oso (Sp. Valleys of the Bear), noted for their scenic beauty, and in particular for their lush chestnut, oak and beech woods.
Our camp offers two separate educational programs: Spanish as a Foreign Language and English as a Second Language. Both are led by dedicated instructors who are not only native speakers, but also fully qualified teachers with years of experience in teaching adolescents. Classes are designed to develop all aspects of students’ linguistic abilities, focusing, however, on improving the students’ speaking and listening skills through a variety of communicative activities.
Children in both programs are divided into groups of 10 or less, according to their level of linguistic competence. In addtion to this, the total number of students is limited to 40, 20 in each language; it is our belief that small numbers are crucial in providing the best quality in education.
The sports and free-time activities at our summer camp bring students from both language groups together, creating a vibrant, multicultural environment for all of them to enjoy.
